The 40ft Open Top Original is a factory-built Open Top container for cargo that cannot easily be loaded through the container doors. With its open roof and top-loading capability, this container type is suitable for a wide range of project cargo and industrial applications.

Applications and benefits

The 40ft Open Top Original is widely used for transporting machinery, industrial components, steel structures and other cargo for which top loading is necessary or more practical.

Unlike a Rebuild Open Top, this container was originally manufactured as an Open Top. This makes it a suitable choice for shipping lines, container operators and project logistics companies specifically looking for original Open Top equipment.

DCS also offers 40ft Open Top Rebuild containers. These are converted by us from existing Dry Containers and offer a more cost-effective alternative for customers who do not require an original factory build.

Condition & availability

Our 40ft Open Top Original containers are offered as standard in Cargo Worthy (CW) condition.
